EASTON, Pa. » The father of 3-year-old Adolf Hitler Campbell, denied a birthday cake with the child's full name on it by one New Jersey supermarket, is asking for a little tolerance. Heath Campbell and his wife, Deborah, are upset not only with the decision made by the Greenwich ShopRite, but with an outpouring of angry Internet postings in response to a local newspaper article over the weekend on their flare-up over frosting.

Cake request for 3-year-old Hitler namesake denied - Salt Lake Tribune

First of all, who names their child Adolf Hitler? I mean, in the article he actually said that he named him this because nobody else in the world will have his name, and that he's not racist. Well I know that it's good to have a child's name to be something that nobody else has in the world. But a mass murderer's name? Hm, most of you have different opinions about this, and I'm not trying to say like "THIS IS EMBARRASING!! GET RID OF HIM!!" But, I feel bad for that kid. I mean, when he grows up, he might get teased by the other kids. That is the cruel socety that he will most likely be living in. Other kids are mean sometimes, man. I see people get teased for their names all the time just because they're different! I just thought it was an interesting thing to name a child Adolf Hitler. Oh well, parents can name their child anything. I mean, it's their child for goodness sakes.
