the book hoops is about a teenager named Lonnie who hopes to play in the NBA someday. He meets a homeless guy named Cal and they bond together as Cal was once in the same position as Lonnie although Cal ruined his life by drinking and gettting involved with the bad people so he tries to teach Lonnie what not to do. They build a strong relationship and become very good friends until......
One lesson that I learnned is that you shouldn't take anything for granit because al of that can easily be lost when you have so many good things going for you and that's what happend to Cal. This is a great lesson for everybody to see. I think that all teenagers should read this book because this book is extremly interesting and this may be the best book I have read so far.

Dear Emir,
I feel that your response was interesting and it really shows what the whole lesson of the book is about. You stated the lesson very clearly and explained why that is lesson by giving an example in the book. It was very easy to read and informative at the same time.
One sentence you wrote that stands out for me is "One lesson that I learned is that you shouldn't take anything for granted because all of that can be easily be lost when you have so many good things going for you and that's what happened to Cal." I think this is important because it shows how this book can somewhat change the way you think or even change your life.
Your post did not remind me of anything that happened to me.
Thanks for your writing. I look forward to seeing what you write next, because I like how straight to the point you are. It is also short, which makes it easier to get through it. This will definitley get me thinking about taking things to granted next time.
