How am I doing?

In order to make a good post on youthvoices, one has to consider the quality of the content and solid examples along with quotes. Quotes from a news article, from a blog and a pod cast would be really helpful. The title has to be catchy in order to draw people in. When writing the paragraphs, it shouldn't have more than 4 sentences. If there is too much to read, it would be a turn off, even if the topic is interesting. It should include examples and relate it to people or themselves. An image should be included because usually, if the post is all words and no picture.. there's nothing appealing about it. At least the image would keep people interested enough to stay and skim over the essay. It should be something the topic starter is interested about. If one isn't passionate about the topic, it'll become very boring and the essay would sound monotone.

I made an effort to try and complete all the assignments this marking period. The grade from the last marking period was a wake-up call. I thought I was doing fine until I saw my grade. Every week I completed an essay. I posted on diigo multiple times and quoted from many sources. The only thing I keep forgetting to do are the whats up. That should be the easiest thing to do.. The essays were surprisingly easy to do. I think it's because we had the freedom to choose our own topics, and therefore I chose what I was interested in. For example, when I write about topics related to health, I can go on and on about it. The only thing that was annoying was when I had to long onto everything, youthvoices, google docs and diigo, I get confused.

My three best discussion posts were the latest ones. They were related to health and diet. I think I didn't have much trouble typing it up because I was learning while I was researching. The whats ups were easy because I just spilled out my thoughts after reading. I didn't follow the guidelines because I think it restricts me from expressing my thoughts.

Next week, I hope I can keep up the interesting topics. I feel like I've accomplished something when my friends read my informative topics about health. I learn from others when I read their posts. When I comment on their whats-ups, I get to read about what they're reading this week and how the story is going along.

I think our thoughts get expressed more when we blog because we get to include pictures and quotes from various sites. People can relate to it more too.
