How did the United States deal with natural disasters in the past?
I would like to know more about how the United States has dealt with natural disasters in the past. I know that a lot was made about Hurricane Irene, which just hit the East Coast. So I am wondering what President Obama will do to help the people that were directly affected by it and are in need of aid. I think the only way to find out information on this topic without seeing into the future is to look at what our leaders have done in the past to deal with events that are of similar nature. This could be with earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, or any other type of natural disaster that has effected our citizens in the past. I think that what past leaders have done may impact President Obama's decision on how to provide aid and support to our people, who are in need after Hurricane Irene.
