How do goals, obstacles, and chance contribute to an enjoyable game?

Goal: An objective a player has to reach in order to “win” or “beat” a game (or a level or section). Examples: “rescue the princess”, “find all the gems”, “kill all the enemies”
Obstacle: A challenge that prevent a player from reaching a goal easily. Examples: time limits, enemies, traps, limited health/lives
Chance: A random element within a game. Randomness provides uncertainty, and can increase playability. Examples: dice, cards, number or type of enemies

In order for a game to be enjoyable, it has to have these 3 elements. Starting with the goal. You always want a goal to achieve, or a point to play the game, not just playing it for no reason. Also you dont want to make it too easy, but a challenge to kepp you interested or to keep wanting to achieve the goal. Chance makes it interesting so you won't be doing the same things over and over so it won't get boring.

Goals, obstacles, and chance and all enjoyable components of an enjoyable game. A goal in a game let the player be able to know how to win and will prevent the player from getting bored because he or she will know what to do to be able to win. Obstacle add to the challenge of a game and make the game have more varuety and makes the game interesting and makes the player try. Chance adds randomness and makes the player be able to win even under hard circumstances. Furthermore, chance makes the game and the outcome of moves different every time.

Obstacles, goals, and chance contribute to an enjoyable game because they make the game more entertaining as well as challenging. For example, goals enable you to strive for something, and it gives you a reason to keep trying to beat the game. Obstacles make the game more challenging to play, and allow you to learn how to beat the game by overcoming the obstacles. Chance makes the game more fun because you don't know what to expect form the game, and it can easily change the outcome of the game.

I learned what goals objectives and chance are. Goals, objectives and chance create an enjoyable game because when a game is to easy it gets boring really quickly. When you have a goal you keep playing until you get there and you have a reason to continue playing. Having chance in the game gives it intensity and makes it exciting.

Goals, obstacles and chance help entice the play to play more and be involved. These three components help make the player want to play more. Goals help the player find a way to win the game. Obstacles make the game challenging and not easy to beat the game. Chance makes the reader want to keep playing to win.

They can be enjoyable to a game because the goal is the way to beat the game. The obstacle is fun in a way because it doesn't make the game so easy to win. Chance is good because you can win in a faster way.

goals make the person try to go toward a certain thing and try to achive the goal. challenges make the game harder and try to make the person not make it win, even thouhg it is possible. the chance makes the player not see what is going to happen and makes them keep guessing on whta will happen next.

Goals, obstacles and chance

Goals, obstacles and chance contribute to an enjoyable, interesting, and enticing game. Goals give something for players to work towards and therefore make games much more enticing. Obstacles create challenge, and without challenge the game will be much too easy and won't be any fun at all. Chance keeps the game interesting as well. Without chance, there is no point in playing the game again and again, as the same thing will happen each time that you play the game. Without any of these components, a game simply isn't any good, and needs more work.

I think that a goal gives you an objective to complete.  It gives you a reward for completing it and a sense of accomplishment.

Obstacles give challenge to the game.  They are hurdles you must leap to get to the end.  They also give a sense of accomplishment.

Chance makes it impossible to anticipate what wil happen.  What enemy will be next?  What death trap will come up?

Today, I learnt about how to make a game entertaining, challenging and accessible. Having specific goals, obstacles and chances contribute to an enjoyable game because it makes it fun and addicting as well as a learning lesson.

Having specific goals, obstacles, and chances contribute to an enjoyable game because they make them challenging, fun, and addictive. It makes you more excited about what you are doing and want to play more of it, if it meets your requirements of what fun is.

Goals make a game more

Goals make a game more enjoyable because with goals, you have a purpose to play, and you want to achieve that goal. Obstacles make a game more enjoyable because you have a challenge, and you want to be able to succeed over those challenges. Chance makes a game more enjoyable because there is always a point of uncertainty to make a game constantly unique, and you cannot memorize the game.

Goals make the game player feel as if they are accomplishing something rather than just playing a game because it is there. It makes the game more enjoyable and fun to play because you feel like you have done something. Obstacles provide challenge for the game player. They give them something to get around and makes the accomplishment better. Chance make the game more unique and therefore more enjoyable.

i had a lot of fun making my game. I was able to meet all of the requirements that were needed for the game, and at the same time to make it fun. May said that they liked the variety of sprites that i had. so in a short amount of time, they had many enemies to shoot and kill. they said however, it was a bit challenging with the killing and the timing. so that is something that i have to work on next time. It affects my creativity because though i have to make it fun and challenging, i still have to meet the limits and make the game accessible to play.

They contribute to how fun a game is, how hard it may be to beat a game, and gives the player many more options on what they can do in the game. the people in my group thought i had a good game, but i personally felt that i would have been able to do more if i were given the option of being able to add more components to my game.

Goals give a game and a player its purpose, obstacles give a game difficulty so that the player doesn't get bored easily and chance gives the game its suddenness and unexpectedness which contribute to the players' enjoyment. when I was designing my game I kept in mind how fun people find destroying things and how the path the player travels in gives the game difficulty.
