How does reading help us in our everyday life?

Did you know that reading at least one time a day improves your reading and writing skills? Two thirds of eighth graders do not read at grade level. We need to read more to give our brains something to think about, it will all pay off in the future.
Reading is important because if we didn’t know how to read life would be very different and hard. I went on google.com, looked up my question and found the answer which martinez3219 wrote. I believe her answer is good and it answered my question, she said “Well put it in this way if you couldn't read you wouldn't be able to read signs so you wouldn’t know if you were going to your destination or not.” I agree with her because she was explaining how important it is to be able to read signs to know where you are going. Without reading life would very different and hard. My personal opinion is everybody should read more it would teach us more and help us do better in life.
