I found something helpful about my research topic on the interwebs! Success!
I really liked Mel Bay's essay, "You Can Teach Yourself Mandolin," from Bruce, Dix and Mel Bay. 1193. You Can Teach Yourself the Mandolin. http://books.google.com/books?hl=en&lr=&id=kXZCHfGItwsC&oi=fnd&pg=PA4&dq... because I finally found a source that could be helpful in my quest to teach myself how to play the mandolin and this gives a detailed guide on how to get started and how to stay motivated even when it gets hard, and it gives good tips on how to hold and tune the instrument and it even includes tunes that help get you accustomed to the sound of playing the mandolin properly. It was the guidebook that I had been searching for for months and had never really found, until now. Wow. Actually finding a book on the topic I have been researching on the web. Success. Victory is mine.
I'm learning more about mandolins right now, and in particular what I'm wondering about is: How do I go from a beginner mandolin player to be able to play on moe intermediate levels? I was researching this question online, and this e-book caught my attention because it's exact title was "You Can teach Yourself to Play the Mandolin" and I was like, "Yes I can!" and I got super motivated to read it.
