Iceland Volcano affecting European airports
There has been a volcano in Iceland that’s has been an ongoing eruption. No airplanes are able to get out of pats of Europe right now because the ash will affect how the engine will work. So there are people that are stuck in those airports for about a week now. This topic interests me because it is a natural disaster and this has been a major problem. What I don’t know about this situation is how this affect the airplanes and how long is this expected to last and when people will be able to go home. What I want to learn about this topic is what really happens to the airplanes when they go through an ash cloud.
An article from “Millions watch Iceland volcano eruption” said “ It’s fascinating, powerful and beautiful to watch but it makes me sad to think of all the farming land this is going to waste because e of the ash” she said. This shows that there are more than airports being affected like farming. So there will be a shortage in food and have to put all new crops after this blows off. But when will this volcano stop erupting.
I agree with the article because it is just proof and it is not fiction, it is all facts and I do believe that it will have a large affect on farming. This will make the food prices rise in those countries. What I think now about the topic is that this could last longer than most people expect it to.
