An Incident
One line from An Incident that stands out for me is " I walked around thinking, but I was almost afraid to turn my thoughts on myself". I think this is scary because this man can get scared of thinking, so it is like he has no free will of his own.
Another line that I enjoyed was " Yet this incident keeps coming back to me, often more vivid than in actual life, teaching me shame, urging me to reform, and giving me fresh courage and hope". This stood out for me because this showed how easily people can change for postive reasons and for negative ones.
"An Incident" reminds me of something that happened to me. One time when I was 8 years old, it was chirstmas eve and I was with my familiy getting ready to open presents when all of the sudden the house bell rang. I decided that I would go and answer the door, when I answered the door I was surpirsed to see that it was santa claus delivering more presents. I got so emotional that I started to cry. Two years later I found out that santa claus was fake, but when I look back I always smile because I had so much fun.
I would like to read more stories by Lu Hsun because he talked about the emotion times in peoples lives and I like historical events. I would also read more of his stories because he writes his stories with so much emotion. I just read a short story,"An Incident," by Lu Hsun, and I thought it was significant because it discussed how the Rickshaw help a old lady before she had got injured. What also straked me was how much emotion their is in this story.
