Christopher, the main character in The Curious Incident of the dog in the night-time, by Mark Haddon, lives next to the a married neighbor and the dead dog was on their lawn. He might think that they did it or something and now Christopher is follwing the neighbor, Mr. Shears to see what is really going on and to see if he did it or not.

One line from pages 20 - 45 that stands out for me is: "My mother was cremated." I think this is really sad because I would be really sad if that happened to my mom and I would cry and miss her so much. I am really sad that I am hearing this already and I hope it doesnt happen to anyone close to me or someone I really love because I would be really hurt and everything. Its just so sad to hear this. I am sorry.

Another line that I disliked was: "What happened to my dog!!\" This stood out for me because I would be coming out shouting as well like Mrs.Shears to see my dog die or something on my front lawn and seeing a knife going through my dog. I would freak out and find out who the person is and kill that person for killing my dog. Why would someone do something like this? Does that person not have a heart?

This section of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the night-time reminds me of movie. In  "Dogs Gone Wild" there are a bunch of dogs that roam free and everything and they are so happy and they have so much free space to do everything that they want or anything. Why couldnt the dog in the book deserve the same? Why did it have to be killed? It could have just be running around all happy and everything and someone has to kill it. I feel really bad for the poor puppy.

What's probably going to happen next is that Christopher is going to find out more information about what is going on and what happened to the dog and why the dog was killed in such a brutal way, with a fork. The dog is still lying there on the lawn and no one is doing anything about it and they are trying to find out who did this and quick so nothing else would happen.

I am looking forward to reading the rest of this book because since Christopher found out more information and stuff and also he is following Mr. Shears to see what is really going on, I think he has a clue and with the clues he is going to find out who killed the poor dog.
