Today i taught of the  electrolytes in Gatorade. I mean what are these electrolytes that are in Gatorade? Are they like electricity that runs in it or something? Or are they just some random vitamins that happened to be named electrolytes?Well this sort of reminds me of the movie called “ Idiocracy” In the movie there in the future the Gatorade company called Brando in the movie took over the water company and replaced everything except toilet water with Gatorade. No one in the movie knew why Brando was better than water they just knew that Brando has electrolytes and that it is good for you. But in the movie they watered plants with Brando and over the years the salt from Brando gathered in the ground and killed the plants and led to a dust bowl. So how does Gatorade differ from this? It is the thirst quencher yes but you still need water no matter what so you can drink Gatorade but you can never replace water because water is the main source of life and every living thing needs it.

Electrolytes the main source of life or the main source of death?
Robert Cade, Dana Shires, Harry James Free, and Alejandro de Quesada were the
medical researchers, at the University of Florida, who created the original Gatorade thirst
quencher in 1965. The Gators football coach, Ray Graves, was frustrated with the
performance of his players during summer practices and asked the team doctor for his
insight. The doctor referred the matter to Cade and his research team, who formulated a
mixture of water, sodium, sugar, potassium, phosphate and lemon juice. The drink is
now known as Gatorade in honor of the football team, the Gators. The football team
credits Gatorade with their first Orange Bowl win over the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets
in 1967, and the drink became an instant phenomenon. Yellow Jackets coach Bud
Carson, when asked why they lost, replied: "We didn’t have Gatorade. That made the
difference."

Gatorade might have been made as a very good sports but now it has become almost like a vitamin water and is very popular. Everyone gets it even if they don't do sports or something.
I like drinking it just instead of water because its cheap and tastes like juice and has a cap bottle.

Here is a picture of Gatorade:

This is the modern day Gatorade that comes in many different flavours with different qualities and it is really good.

This is my main introduction to Gatorade and most people should already know what it is but this is for those who don't, you should try it one day its good, especially on a hot summer day.

I enjoyed reading your post on Gatorade or “ its got  electrolytes”because i never knew that the people who have named the juice Gatorade were a fan of a football team gators from Florida. It started off with the Gatorade thirst quencher which was created by medical researchers from the university of Florida.
one sentence you wrote that stands out for me is “Gatorade might have been made as a very good sport s but now it has become almost like a vitamin water and very popular” I think this is interesting because it makes me think if the the title of vitamin water a has something do with any sport or anything, or is  it just a name ?
Another sentence that i thought that was interesting was “ everyone get its even if they don't have a sport “ and this stood up for me because even though i don't have a sport i just get it because it tastes good and it wakes you up. i mean ill get it before school if I'm tired or just weak and when i drink it , it will wake me up  and that's the best part.
Your post reminds me of that something happened to me.one time i woke up in the middle of the night and i was thirsty so instead of drinking water i drank Gatorade which woke me up and made me not fall asleep.
Thanks for your writing.I look forward to seeing what you write next, because your posts are wonderful and interesting and full with facts and i would like to learn more about Gatorade and drinks.

Tank you for your reply, i really what you wrote and yes Gatorade does taste awsome, Vitamin water and Gatorade are kind of related but not exactly the same thing. Gatorade is more of a sport drink that hydrates your body and gives it energy and some muscle building ingredients while Vitamin water is also refreshing but provides the daily vitamins you need to keep your day running on maximum. I drink it too sometimes to wake up because it has a sudden burst of energy release.
