Jade-Ashley T's Game Project: Game of Poverty
I worked on my board game in my room yesterday from 3:30 to 4:35. The setting was quiet and it was easy to concentrate on. To make it a little less boring I put music on from my laptop a little while after I started to work on the game. For the board game I began to research about poverty and I focused mainly on the parts of the world that were affected the most. For the game itself, the board would be similar to the one of the Game of Life. The game pieces would be a child, which would come with more info about the name, age, where he or she comes from as well as the life they live. The main aim of the game is to see if that child comes out of poverty or stays in poverty forever or for the rest of their lives. The game would definitely come with directions and game cards to move the game pieces on the board. The next thing for me to do is the outline of the board game itself.

MODIFICATIONS:
Second Prototype Goal:
Second Prototype
Goal: My game does fit well with my issue of Poverty. The game that is based on the one that I made was the Game of Life. Also, the aim of my game is different from the Game of Life because instead, the first person to get to the end of the game with the most money is the winner and their game piece gets out of poverty while the other players remain in poverty. The game board itself has also been modified to suit my game.
Requirements:
1. The game must teach players important information about Poverty.
2. The game must use the form and core mechanics of the Game of Life.
3. The game must be playable by 2 to 5 players.
4. The game must be capable of being played to completion in 30 minutes or less.
5. All game components must be produced using digital production methods.
6. Make board bigger and thicker in size.
7. Make a rule book to further guide the players in the game.
8. Make it more enjoyable...enhance game further.
Constraints:
1. The game may not contain any ideas or expressions that the teacher or my peers may find offensive or objectionable.
2. The second prototype must fit in a 9” x 12” manila folder.
3. The second prototype for The Game of Poverty must be ready for testing by the beginning of class on Monday, October 25th.
4. Rules must fit on x pages
5. No confusing words in rules.
6. Game rules shouldn’t br long
7. Game pieces must be small enough to fit on game squares.
NICE NICE NICE I really
NICE NICE NICE
I really liked the idea of the game and the structure of it. I can't find nothing so far that is negative about the game, so I'm guessing so far your doing great with it and keep it up.

Journal Entry:
Today in class, I learnt about Standard Image Formats and information on Online Graphic Software. For Tech Classwork, I also had to test out an Online Graphic Software for my Second Prototype for my game. I had a choice of Sumo Paint, Adobe Photoshop Express, PixIr and Gliffy. Mr. Shantanu showed the class a demonstration on the projector on what to do and from there,I saw the sites that I was interested in. I went on sites like Sumo Paint and PixIr. It was an interesting activity but I preferred the Sumo Paint than the rest of them. I actually liked its features and what I could have done with it. Now I know that I could use this website for my game if I want to make game pieces for instant for it.
