Korean Garden
My English class went to the Korean Garden near our school. My class went there to take pictures of the garden and to talk to the gardeners. Students from my class asked questions to the gardeners and only some of them answered us. Most of the gardeners didn't answer our questions. One person just said.
"I like living in flushing, everything is close by."
Hearing this quote just made me realize that most people probably like Flushing for the same reason. The quote really doesn't mean anything to me. Its probably what most people want so their life is easier.
Another quote that stuck out to me from the Korean Garden was from this old lady who was working in the garden.
" I like working in the garden."
Seeing this quote again, I see how she likes to work in a garden and she was working very carefully with the plants. It opens my eyes because this quote is saying that she likes her work which a lot of people doesn't. Now keeping this in mind, what do you guys think about the quote?
Others in the garden didn't really answer our questions. Most of them just said that they don't understand or they don't speak english. It was hard for us to communicate with them. Even when we tried asking them in korean they said they didn't understand us.
The garden itself is very pretty. The place is filled with vegetables plants and many different colorful flowers. Its also very quiet in there. Gardeners are working or just relaxing. Here is a picture of a small part of the garden
