Recently I read  pages 112-123 in  Almost A Woman by Esmeralda Santiago, and I really like it because it talks about her life. It makes me think about how my own life is and what should I do with it.

One line from this part of the book that stands out for me is: "All I can say," Tata finally spoke up, "is that I don't trust a man who won't look me in the eye."I think this is true because I believe that when you talk to people and you first meet them you should be able to look at them in the eye so that way you can built trust. When you hide something then thats when you can't look at that person in the eye. I think that what her grandmother said is true. I woudn't be able to trust some one like that either.

This section of Almost A Woman reminds me of another story. In "Speak" the main character doesn't talk to anyone and doesn't trust any one because she got rapped. This story can relate to her in this way and also because a girl is the one who describes her life story. In other ways it can be different because it's two different types of stories.

What's probably going to happen next is that Esmeralda is going to make more money and get to buy anything. I think she will be able to do a play and make more money.

I am looking forward to reading the rest of this book because it's getting interesting and I like what the story is about. She writes about her life and her life seems to be pretty interesting.
