Looking Into the Future (2/27 post)

This past weekend I had the opportunity to shadow a Pediatrician up at the University of Utah hospital in the Maternal Newborn wing. I had set up this meeting for my economics class in which we were instructed to shadow someone in a career you were interested in. I have always been fascinated with medicine and I thought being a pediatrician would be a great job in the Medical Field. I learned so much about what "A day in the life of a Pediatrician" was about. I mostly did rounds on patients, but I did get to sit in on a procedure which was really cool! I hope that I can continue my success in schooling and eventually become a doctor, even a pediatrician. The need is definitely out there for doctors and care providers, it's just a matter of getting through the nitty gritty schooling and keep motivated!I would recommend Pediatrics to someone interested in the Medical Field if they enjoy kids and a medical based curriculum.
