Making Connections-My Life

I am currently reading a book called, Sunrise Over Fallujah by Walter Dean Myers. I've only got to the first 20 pages and its about this man named Robin who is part of the US military. He just arrived to Iraq which he will look for any weapons for mass destruction and Saddam Hussein. He feels bad about not doing anything on September 11th, and he wants to make it up by going to war. His dad doesnt approve of it because he wants him to study finance. This book connects to my life because we are currently still in war with Iraq. I have many friends in family who's mom, aunts, uncles,  and fathers are in war. Many of the middle class wants this war to end and I think thats why so many Americans were hapy when Obama became president. He promised to end this war and bring our loved ones home!
