Martial Arts has always been interesting to me. I like the way it is presented and the different types of disciplines there are. Mostly martial art comes from Asia and it's cool how they all are different in many ways. I like to see martial artists use them and express themselves through it. I learned that martial arts are sometimes even disciplines that were used in the past as a way of training for wars. I think that martial arts is a way to train both the body and the mind, which can probably make you strong in the inside and outside.
In one article about martial arts I found this quote that made me think about my topic. "We will be pitting our strengths and our weaknesses against each other in hopes that we will both benefit." I think that what this quote is trying to say is that these two kinds of martial arts are all coming together and that they will fight to show teach each other and to make one another better in their skill.
Another quote that I found very interesting an appealing. "Each year, they (the event planners and participants) raise thousands of dollars for the Children's Miracle Network, a portion of which is dedicated to the Birthing Center at Inland Hospital, the local CMN affiliate." I think that this quote is trying to say that martial arts is not just all about fighting and getting better by training, but it's also saying that martial arts can be a way of earning to money to help other people.
I think that this shows martial arts at its fullest even though there is not much action going on. I think that martial arts can be very important to some individuals, because it's probably part of their life and the things that they like to do (hobbies.)
