Does things in your life fall apart. Well i am reading this book named "Things Fall Apart", and it is a fairly long book. This long book is fine and somewhat confusing. This book seems sexiest and/or man dominated. There is a boy named Oknokwo which is one of the main characters that came into a tribe named Umofia. He is experiencing different situations.
Recently i read pages 81-88 in Things Fall Apart, by Chinua Achebe and i found it extremely fascinating because there was a variety of action as well as high voltage of determination. In
a short period of time in the book there was a scenery action or dialogue in just seven pages. The words that they say in this book is heart feeling and true once you sink that same sentence into you head. Once you read it twice or three times you will get to understand that same quote.
One line from this part of the book that stands out for me is: "If you bring us all the way for nothing i shall beat sense into you." I think this is laughable because i wonder how you can do that. I am just picturing somebody hitting another person with, what, education on their fists. I really laugh at sayings or quotes such as this one that stands out for me.
Another line that i pondered on was: "Where did you bury your iyi-uwa?" Now Iyi-uwa means a special kind of stone which forms the link between the spirit world. This stood out for me because i discovered a new word that i did not know the definition of so i flipped to the back of the book and i came across all of the definitions of the word that i did not understand.
This section of Things Fall apart reminds me of a song. In "Fever" because Oknokwo child is sick and everybody in the tribe replies," Iba", which means fever. She has a fever but she thinks it is her time to be with the spirits.
Whats probably going to happen next is that there will be more medicine to cure Oknokwo child and her terrible cold. People in the tribe will probably contribute with making her better.
I am looking forward to reading the rest of this book because it is getting more intense and fascinating.
