Medias Effect on Presidental Elections

In English class we were required to write about the medias effect on Presidential Elections. I had always thought the media was a great thing. It provides us with quick and easy information. That is however until I took a minute to think about it. The media makes us believe what they want us to about each candidate. It gives us no room for speculation. What they tell their viewers is what they know. It is difficult to imagine the power the media has over the country. They could potentially be electing our next president for us by getting us to believe whatever they want. I think the voters in America need to find a way to educate theirselves outside of television.
