Microsoft Supports Same-Sex Marriage

One current issue that I wholeheartedly support is the legalization of same-sex marriage. I believe that everyone has a right to be loved, and with that, to make a legal commitment to the one they love most. In recent news, Microsoft has joined forces with five other businesses to advocate for this cause. Microsoft recently released a statement saying “As other states recognize marriage equality, Washington's employers are at a disadvantage if we cannot offer a similar, inclusive environment to our talented employees, our top recruits and their families.” They believe that with the passing of a same-sex law, their company will be able to compete more efficiently in their market. Even though Microsoft is mainly focused on their business benefits, it does not change the fact that they are speaking out for a just cause.
