Mini-Saga time.

I chose from the story section of A Whole New Mind the first exercise, writing a mini-saga. Fifty words, no more and no less. This is what I came up with;

The story of a cockroach. It rose from the soil that Adam and Eve strode on, to a world full of wonders and awe. Now it is swept under beds, screamed at, and or trampled upon. Small children present the cockroach to a sibling, resulting in a high pitched cry.

It took me a while to get the length just right, deleting words that didn't need to be there and making the tenses accurate afterwards. But I did enjoy this exercise and it made me think of summarizing in a whole new perspective.
