Monkey See, Monkey Do
In my still life project I set up a sort of jungle-like theme. There is a monkey, some grapes and an apple, some uno cards, a lion and a flower. This picture was suppose to be still life, which it was, but every still life that I’ve ever seen was always old fashioned. I wanted mine to be more full of life. I grabbed some random things that sort of reminded me of a jungle and played around until it made something I really like. I named this picture “Monkey See, Monkey Do” because there is a monkey in the picture and it looks like he is up to something. The only thing that challenged me in this picture was the fact that my film was all scratched up. This meant that I had to try and find the right picture that wouldn’t show much of the scratches. This picture is scratched, but I made it look more blended in, like it was suppose to be there. The monkey is also the bulls eye of the picture. The Uno cards act like a lead line underneath everything that is going on in the picture. The apple is on a power point. I hope that when someone looks at this picture they don’t recongnize the scratches until I mention them. The Uno deck spread out like that is suppose to look sort of like a river. I also hope they they think the title goes along great, and that the theme was suppose to be jungle.

this photo caught my eye as i was scrolling down the page. I just had to stop and comment it. I really like the content and the way the objects in the picture are placed. At first, i was unsure of what it was a picture of and then i looked closer and was able to identify what each individual object is. I really like this. good job:)
