Morning Hike
In late September 2010, I hiked up behind the University of Utah onto Mt. Wire. From there I waited for the sunrise before school. Here are some pictures I took there. With tea in hand (or rather in thermos), I watched the sky light up a show of pink against the clouds. This has been a habit of mine for a few weeks now, just hiking up before school at around six, enjoying nature and some tea, and then descending to make it on time for school. The time I spend in nature, surrounded by only scrub oak and open sky, allows me to observe, to listen, to know. It is easy to dismiss the nondescript wilderness of the world when all you know is concrete and cleanly trimmed lawns. Sit in nature for a while and watch the world. Its quite an experience.

I think it's really cool
I think it's really cool that you take time in the mornings before school and take all of these pictures, it really shows a commitment that you have, and that you care about nature. All of the photos you have taken are also really amazing and it's really great how you took different types of photos, not just landscape photos.
That's amazing that you
That's amazing that you take the time in the morning to experience nature before school. I've visited Lake Tahoe, which I believe is near where you are? I took a lot of pictures there and got up before the sun a few times and it was really something. In the city I can't even see the sunrise from where I live. A few years ago I lived in Florida and I didn't take advantage of the nature and weather there and I regret that now, it's great that you know to experience where you live!

These pictures are beautiful pictures of the sunrise. I'm really intrigued by the fact that you can go take a walk, and see these amazing sights just before going to school. In New York City, we're lucky if we can even spot a pink colored cloud from behind a building. I love the way your pictures show not just the sights on the mountain but what the view was from the mountain. These pictures make me envy that there is so much open sky in Utah. I especially enjoyed the picture of the view of all of the houses with a mountain in the back, and the light blue and pink colored sky. Keep posting more pictures of the sights around you, they are very eye catching.
Wow I feel that your photo's
Wow I feel that your photo's are breath taking. The sky has a nice blend of colors that I've never seen before and the mood is very calm. It makes me feel like as if it is early in the morning. I am really interested in your work because nature is one of my favorite topics to photograph as well.
You are lucky to live in
You are lucky to live in such an environment where you have the opportunity to hike up a mountain before school starts. Living in the city, we don't get to do that all that much. The pictures that you took stood out because I found the colors in the sunset to be really pretty. Last year my theme or goal was to take pictures of the city. Its cool to compare your environment to mine, because they are so different.

I really like your photos
I really like your photos from this walk! I love how every picture is a very wide picture, like nothing is focused on a small object every picture is like the view, with the mountains and the trees and the leaves.
