There are many different types of music. Rock, metal, classical, rap, jazz; there are many different kinds. Everyone likes different types of music. People from other countries might like completely different types of music that might sound like just noise to us. Everyone likes some type of music. Some people play music and become famous for it. Some surround themselves with music based on their feelings. Some people usually only listen to music in the car or during work. But why? Why do we love music so much? Who created the 1st song? The 1st beat? How old is music? Who had the idea to bang their hands on rocks and try to make different sounds?
“The oldest musical instrument ever found is between 43,000 and 82,000 years old. It’s part of the thigh bone of a bear with four holes carved into it, it must have been a type of flute.” This quote from http://www.bigsiteofamazingfacts.com/how-was-music-invented-and-when shows us that music is much older than we know. This might not be the 1st instrument! It might have just been the oldest one found and made public. The oldest instrument might have been crushed to little bits by cavemen and pushed away as a nuisance. No one knows who created the 1st instrument or exactly how long ago it was.
I had no idea music was so old! I knew it was ancient but 82,000 years ago or longer? Music has come a long way, from being made from bones and sticks to polished wood and steel. Many instruments have been created and the use of electricity also plays a major part in instrumental sounds. Music is one of the oldest arts that is still alive today.
