My Opinion on the Inauguration Speech
In Barack Obama's speech during the inauguration was really great. It gave us an idea of what he wanted to do in the future and what people will expect.
Barack Obama said "Time and time again these men and women struggled and sacrificed and worked till their hands were raw so that we might live a better life. They saw America as bigger than the sum of our individual ambition; greater than all the differences of birth or wealth or faction. This journey we continue today." --Obama
This quote shows where we're going in the future. This shows the future of America. He's saying that America is a big country, in general. It's a country with big goals, bigger than each of our individual goals. It's a big country with big expectations. Obama didn't just say America was a big country with big expectations. He also states we have to make struggles and sacrifices to meet those goals. I agree with Obama, and this sentence is the best way of showing what America's future holds. This quote is simple and gets to the point. This quote is very real and it looks like it's saying the future repeats itself.

What good is sacrifice?
In your reflection on Obama's speech you write: "He also states we have to make struggles and sacrifices to meet those goals." What kinds of sacrifices do you htink that students make that will be for the good of America?
