My Spring Cleaning
“A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.” - Winston Churchill
This quote means that instead of thinking every challenge is impossible, you should be thinking about hot to take on the challenge. I can connect to this to myself because sometimes I see challenges in opportunities while other times I seize the opportunity to do something challenging.
I am currently a sophomore in high school. I am nearing the halfway point of high school at the end of the year. I have come through many challenges on my path to success. In high school, an expectation for myself was to be in the honor roll and I did make it in the honor roll. I hope I stay on the right path and move forward with good grades. I really hope I can graduate high school happy and end up to the college I want to go. I don’t know if most people end up in the college they want to go. I’m pretty sure before kids enter high school, most of them plan to get into an ivy league school. Most of those kids don’t end up going and just look back at how foolish they were by thinking they can get into an ivy league school but then end up screwing up in high school. I don’t plan on going to an ivy league school. I’m still looking for the right one but I have plenty of time because I’m not even in the grade to apply yet. I have come a long way from elementary and middle school and I have a long way to go. That’s a very big deal and I hope to fulfill my goals for high school.
“Spring cleaning” refers to a fresh start at this time of year, where you have an opportunity to wipe away some of the previous build up and begin again. Some ways I can approach my own spring cleaning is by doing better in school. I know I can do better if I put effort into whatever it is I’m doing. My goal is to pass all my classes by the end of the year but with higher grades. That way I can enjoy my summer without thinking about whether I could have received a higher grade for a certain class.
This Spring, I hope to have a happy ending to my story and fulfill all my goals. I’m sure I’m not going to fail at what I am trying to achieve. I’m looking forward to doing the best that I can so i don’t have to worry about anything at the end of year. Like I said, I am at the halfway point of high school and I really need to start picking things up and better. I can not allow myself to not do anything because I think it is too hard. I have to achieve everything that I can so it’s possible for me to be the best I can. Yes I can! Yes I can! YES! YES! YES!
