My Thanksgiving
My preparation for thanksgiving started Nov 24, 2009. When after school i hung out with my friends from 1 25 to about 4 30. Just hanging out and walking around having a good time. Eating at Micky D's, making fun of people as well as each other. After that i began shopping for ingredients at Associated. Spent at least 20 min looking for 7 tart apples until i finally gave up and got 7 regular red apples. Then the hunt began; the search for Jiffy's Corn Muffin Mix. Shuffling and throwing boxes of Jiffy's muffin mix, cookie mix, and things i never knew existed like Jiffy's Pie Crust Mix.
Finally, after talking to people in the super market one of the workers was nice enough to go in the back of the store and get me 2 boxes. As I exited the supermarket and entered the F train I ran into my friend Diana. I haven't seen her since we came back from Europe together. As we was walking and catching up on things we watch two adults fight on Hillside and 197th. After dropping her off at home i continued my journey home.
The next day Nov 25th was a pretty normal day. But surprisingly it went by pretty quick. Then came Thanksgiving day Nov 26,2009. I woke up at 8 o'clock A.M and began cleaning my room. Once my room was finished I turned on my laptop and signed on to aim and blasted the radio. Hot 97 was Jamming that day playing all the best songs from the 90s and 80s. From Method man, to Michael Jackson.
Then I Scrubbed My kitchen down as I was run back and forth talking with Nicole and my family on aim. My phone rang non stop that day and the IM's kept coming. Which took me even longer to clean; but eventually I moved on too my living room, the hallway, and then the bathroom. After about a half an hour rest I got in the shower. It was 2:30 when i got out. Then my cuisine and uncle showed up, so I went down stairs and started to set the table.
We cooked sweet potatos, string beans, turkey, ham butt, stuffing, mac & cheese, rolls and cranberries. Once everything was done I had to pick Nicole and Jonathan up from the bus stop. Soon after dinner was done Nicole, Jonathan, and I went up stairs and Baked home made Apple Pie with Corn Bread. As soon as everything was done around 8:30 I left to my father's house. He was throwing a party and everyone was there. The party lasted til about 12 in the morning and I didn't sleep until 1:30.
The next morning was black friday. I got a call from Jordan and we ended up at Queens Center Mall around 10 o'clock. Eventually we met up with Nicole and started shopping. As were walking through the mall we ran into Dylan and Ashley. Though it was fun and all, people fighting, talking to strangers, and long lines over threw the day. As for Saturday the 27th I went to the movies with My family and Jordan to see The Blind Side and we had mad fun. Where as Sunday the 28th I Just relaxed and hung out with my family.
