Myself as a writer
I generally do pretty well as a writer. When I want to, I can write a lot. When I do not feel like writing, I can still come up with little things.
I used to do a lot of writing in school back in China, but when i came here, I started to write less and less.
Occasionally i do some writing at home, when i do that i usually give up within half of an hour because I am bored to death.
In school I don't do a lot of writing, but when I do, I usually do my best. I don't have a very large interest in writing, but like I said, I usually do my best.
At the last SAT test, I was given the topic that asked me to write about honesty. This wasn't exactly the topic I would usually write about, but it was more than enough to let me get a fair piece of writing out of it. I spent about five minutes thinking about things I've heard and seen about honesty that are worth putting in the essay.
I thought about Bernard Madoff, who had just been on the news. I also thought about a story i heard before, in which a little kid broke his father's things. He chose to tell his father the truth instead trying to lie and get away with it. When his father heard the truth, he forgave him instead of giving him a punishment.
I wrote that to be honest does not always put one in a disadvantage. Being honest will help you gain people's trust. To be dishonest may fool the people for a while, but the good time won't last forever and when people do find out, everything will be lost.
The writing part of SAT was very short, so i did not get to write a lot. But I have never written a piece of writing in such a short time. Afterward, I felt pretty satisfied about what I had written. And when the final score was announced, the writing part was 530. which is pretty good. I did not expect to get a score this high.
When i am given a reasonable topic like that one, i can come up with something in a short time and make some description.
