This quote caught my attention as i was reading an article related to my question. In the article, they were discussing how honeybees are equally derived from nature and nurture. They say as you can see that what a honeybee does in her lifetime is caused by the brains structural adaptation which is caused my the environment. This is what i have been talking about. It does not matter wether you are an animal or human, environment stringing works for every living organism. It never stops and it is one of the pinnacles of our existence.
Honeybees have a complex social structure that is highly flexible. Workers demonstrate an age-related division of labour. Each individual assumes many different roles in her lifetime. Both heredity and environment determine what a bee does, and when she does it. These roles are affected by structural changes in the bee’s brain in response to her foraging experience.
