The New Atomic Bomb
The New Atomic Bomb
Buried under the French-Swiss border lies something that will change the world as we know it. Contained in 17 miles of tubing is the knowledge that will catapult us into the future.
Scientists believe they have found a way to create a black hole. Using superconducting magnets and shooting counter rotating beams of protons at each other, they will attempt to recreate the big bang theory. This ground breaking experiment will be used to disprove the theory of creationism and discover exactly what a black hole is. Other than seeking to disprove these theories, scientists are after something specific, the Higgs boson particle.
I think it will be much more exciting if we don't find the Higgs. That will show something is wrong, and we need to think again. I have a bet of 100 dollars that we won't find the Higgs,” added Professor Hawking

When mucking around with black holes, fear is an expected emotion. To avoid destroying the earth scientists will keep incredibly close watch of the beams due to the growing "doomsday" fear. While some people dread that the black hole created will create an implosion and end the earth, scientists believe that there is nothing to fear and everything is going according to plan. In fact, most scientists say that,
the experiment is vital to the survival of humanity

Only time will tell what this "atom smasher" holds for us. Could it disprove everything that the bible belt holds to dear and true, could it create an entire mini universe, could it destroy the earth? Let us pray...

Dear The New Atomic Bomb : I
Dear The New Atomic Bomb :
I feel that messing around with black holes and such isn't right to do. Your writing and explanation of what scientists are trying from "The New Atomic Bomb" is interesting because it shows how scientists want to poke things around and such. It also shows that sometimes they just do not want to leave things alone.
One sentence you wrote that stands out for me is: "Using superconducting magnets and shooting counter rotating beams of protons at each other, they will attempt to recreate the big bang theory." I think this is quite interesting becauseit's something I haven't heard of before.
Thanks for your writing. I look forward to seeing what you write next, because you explain the situation pretty well and I can tell that you have reasearched things. Giving the link out is an important thing so readers can look more into the ideas.
