Night Photography
This is a photograph taken by Artur Felig Weegee. He was one of the two people that we studied in our Photographer Comparison Project. Weegee focused on taking night photography and became one of the most well-known photographers of all time. Weegee was known for always taking photos where all the action was going on. We learned that sometimes to take great photos you need to put yourself in an "uncomfortable" situation. In this photo Weegee went on to the scene of where a fire had taken place. What makes this photo so great is that he completely captures everything that is going on, even in the night . All in one photo one sees the firefighters spraying out all of the hoses of water. He also captures the car coming toward him with the car's lights on, as one could probably guess that that car is desperately trying to get out of the situation. There are also all of the people anxiously awaiting what is going to happen. This is what made Weegee great, he was always in the right place at the right time.
