Obesity Research
The topic I chose was obesity. I really like talking about this topic because it is a big problem here in the U.S. I believe that health should be one of the top priorities in a person’s life. In the U.S. the percentage of obese people is up to 35.7%. That is a problem. I hope that in this research I can find ways to stop or prevent obesity. I want people to be aware that obesity can be stopped. If we all work together, we all get better. Obesity is a problem for all of us that we need to solve.
I have found a lot of information regarding obesity. I found that obesity is genetic. Some studies have found that missing DNA can promote childhood obesity. I also found that childhood obesity can be blamed to parents. Some scientist say that kids eat what their parents give them. Parents can be busy a lot of the time and provide quick foods such as McDonalds, Burger King, chips, soda, and even candy. Parents aren’t realizing that all the junk food is what is contributing to overweight and obesity. Obesity also leads to heart problems, diabetes, and death.
Research hasn’t been easy. It’s difficult finding reliable sources and information that fits well into your research. One challenge I had was finding numerical data because there were so many. I didn’t know what data to would fit well in my research. I hope to learn new things and answer a lot of my questions. I'm really passionate about this topic!

Nice!
It is clear that your topic is something you are so passionate about, which is really the best start a researcher can have! I'm really looking forward to reading your findings. I hope you post about it more on Youth Voices to get the word out!
