One Videogame Gone
One of my favorite stories that I read from quakestories, a website with passages from students who experienced the earthquake in Japan was the second piece I read. The story was about a girl who had recently bought a game called Deal or No Deal. Her name was Amelia and she loved to play the game but when the earthquake started she had to run under the table and couldn’t save it. Amelia lost so
mething she really enjoyed using. This made me think, about how it would feel to have been in an earthquake. It would be so horrible to lose my home and everything valuable to me. I have no control over what’s going to happen or what I am going to lose. It inspired me to actually think about things and really empathize for Japan.
