   In my last post, I discussed the beliefs of reincarnation and past lives and karma. As I was doing my research, I found a website: [johnadams.net]. I was immediately drawn to the "Case List". There were notable names like Michael Jackson, Marilyn Monroe as well as our own president, Barack Obama. Walter Semwick, (MD, MPH), creator of the website, is a Board Certified Physician who also investigates matters of the metaphysical world. He wrote a book titled "The Return of the Revolutionaries"; in it, he discuses the many cases of reincarnation that he's looked up.

              Before going into the details, I'll present the way the cases were/could've been derived. The first way is through memories, in childhood and adulthood. In some cases, children will rant about subject matters, people, places they've "been" at a young toddler ages. These children couldn't have been taught about these, they'd be too young to comprehend. Other methods include past life regressions, meditations, intuitive spiritual guidances and through spiritual psychics. After a person hypothesizes that they are such and such from a certain life-time, research goes into finding the hypothesized individual. http://www.johnadams.net/how/index.html

The first case that caught my eye was that of Marilyn Monroe. According to Walter, Marilyn Monroe has reincarnated and is now a woman by the name of Sherrie Lea Laird. The picture at the right demonstrates the many characteristics that both women share.
height=239

“Ms. Laird sought out Dr. Finkelstein after she started experiencing disturbing, intrusive flashbacks of her life as Marilyn Monroe. It is common in reincarnation cases that memories can be disturbing, as the individual does not have a context to understand the memories. As such, past life memories can interfere with life activities.”

Ms. Laird is a singer who was in the production of No Ordinary Love; this show was widely known in Europe and Canada.

The next case that I thought interesting was the case of Michael Jackson. Michael Jackson died June of 2009. He is believed to be the incarnation of Charles Dassoucy. Dassoucy gave himself the name “ Emperor of Entertainers”, almost synonymous to Jackson’s “King of Pop”.

“Michael Jackson was also a child prodigy singer and artist. His talent is explained by prior incarnations in which he also was a singer, such as in his lifetime as Charles Dassoucy, the “Emperor of Entertainers.” Why did Michael Jackson have plastic surgeries which made it appear as if he was creating a Caucasian version of himself? I believe that he did this because Jackson had not had prior incarnations as an individual with African ancestry. As such, Michael unconsciously was trying to look more like he did in prior incarnations, when he was Caucasian.”

The case studies are pretty interesting whether you believe in reincarnations or not. If you want to see more, the website is http://www.johnadams.net/index.html.

Nyakuiy,

I read both your Past Lives posts and I think they are fascinating! It reminded me of one time when I was watching a show (I can't remember when or where or even old I was when watching it) and it was about past lives. A woman was having flash backs of her life as a mother in Germany. She was able to recount the names of her fourteen children in her past life and draw an almost exact replica of the town in which she lived in Germany, even though in this life time she has never been to Germany.

And in response to part one I totally believe in karma and the concept that it isn't God that gives us misfortune, but it is in fact ourselves that brings misfortune, even if it is our former selves.

Also reading on the website johnadams.net it said "We are Universal souls.  We must not let religion, race or ethnic affiliation divide us." This was in response to the case of Anne Frank and Barbro Karlen. Frank was a victim of the Holocaust because of her Jewish faith. But Karlen was born into a Christian family. And in your example Charles Dassoucy reincarnates as Michael Jackson, an African American.

Thanks so much for the post. It was really interesting.
