The Patient Gardener
The patient gardener knows when to plant his seeds. He buries them at the perfect depth, waters them only when they should be, and protects them as they whether their first winter. When spring comes he cares for them as they grow. He whispers songs of love, and he protects them from harm. They bear fruit and he knows that he must protect them from as many predators as he possibly can so he gates them off, and he knows that with all his efforts something will get in that can harm the plant. So he keeps an eye on it from afar but not even he can completely protect it. This plant has many obstacles to face as it grows, it can be infected or gnawed at. So the farmer protects it, and prunes anything that seems bad for it, but not everything he can do for it. Somethings the plants need to survive by itself. So he watches as the plant is destroyed and he knows that the damage is for it’s own good. When the plant is at the brink of death the farmer decides that it is now ready. so he waters it, and protects it, and nourishes it, and he watches it come back stronger than it was before, because while it went through everything that it went through, it was growing a sturdy foundation a strong root system to stand on, and because of all the things that plant went through, it will bear more fruit then any other plant around
