People need to have respect for each other
Malcolms leaves the United States and decides to go somewhere else. He decides to fly to Cairo. During his visit there he admires the Islamic world of racial divisons. Also he expresses how the change on racial problems in the United States differ from here. Malcolm also finds our about America's problems in the violence against black people. He also signs all his letters that says El- Hajj Malik El- Shabazz which became his official name but people still call him Malcolm X.
I think The Autobiography of Malcolm X, by Alex Haley and Malcolm X is interesting because Malcolm is expressing his racial problems which is a really good thing and alot of problems have been happening against black people. I was wondering that that was his real name because I think that it is really cool but people still called him Malcolm X for who he really is and also he moved to Cairo to learn about racial divisions.
A passage from pages287 - 289 that seems important is: "Malcolm believes that whites should change their own communities in separate organizations and that black people must unify before they band together with whites to fight racism." I think this is good because I also think the same. I think that they should change and people need to get together and bond with one another and also fight against the racism that is going on.
Another part that I disliked was: "In both cases, Malcolm's openness to the wisdom around him helps him develop a more mature outlook. " This is an example of something important in this book. It shows that Malcolm has a lot of wisdom in himself and also that he helps to get a more mature outlook with the people and teaching people how to look up to themselves and never put themselves down like how Malcolm X never puts himself down no matter what.
This section of The Autobiography of Malcolm X reminds me of T.V. show. In "Cops" cops are fighting people that are being racial and everything and trying to catch the bad people on the streets and people had no repect for each other at all or anything. People should have respect for each other and everything.
What's probably going to happen next is Malcolm returns to Africa and the Middle East for another eighteen weeks, meeting with many world leaders. He confesses to feeling stifled in his new endeavors by his reputation. He predicts that he will die a violent death, doubting that he will live to see the publication of his autobiography." This is an example of something important in this book. It shows that Malcolm was a person that got a long with everyone he saw and everything and he was really happy to discuss about problems. Also how Malcolm was talking about how he was going to die of a violent death and everything. I think he should think positive and not think negative at all.
I am looking forward to reading the rest of this book because it is the end of the book and I really want to finish this book and find out what is going to happen at the end of the book and also to see if the racism really stops going on and if the people are going to really bond together to stop all this and all the prejedice that have been going on for such a long period of time.
