Travis Barker is arguably in the top-5 best rock drummers of all time. He is amazing and so is his band blink 182. I know now after all these years that practice makes perfect. Drumming is all about technique, for example rolling, which is a really hard skill. Even he says practicing on a pad is better than practicing on a real drumset because you get a better feeling so you can really develop the skill. I think this quote is really important for young drummers because when someone like him, an idol, to many people says he practices on a pad alot makes them wants to do it to, and its really helpful.
