Political Spin

For background information on this quote: Basically, Glenn Beck is a newscaster who was commenting on Obama's religion.

"You see, it's all about victims and victimhood; oppressors and the oppressed; reparations, not repentance; collectivism, not individual salvation. I don't know what that is, other than it's not Muslim, it's not Christian. It's a perversion of the gospel of Jesus Christ as most Christians know it," Beck said.

Although this isn't the first thing I think of when I think of political spin... I believe it works. For a number of reasons. Firstly, it illustrates "If it's scary, be wary," mainly by the ending words, "...a perversion of the gospel of Jesus Christ..." What religious fanatic wouldn't be frightened by that? After Beck claims to know everything there is to know about Obama's "religion," he goes on to say that it's not christian. Implying something perhaps? Who knows what Beck was really thinking.
I found this article from The Washington Post. Although it isn't super recent, I still find it relevant.
