Perspective, according to the Encarta dictionary, is a measured or objective assessment of a situation, giving all aspects their comparative importance. Residents of Omaha, Nebraska, the Heartland, have no perspective on their lives, because just about every family has food, shelter, shoes and clothes. Now on the other hand there’s my home state New York, where teens are committing crimes to have the needs that Omahans have. My question is why? Why do Omahans complain so much when they have all the needs that New York really doesn’t have? Teens in New York would strive to have a loving family food, shelter and shoes on their feet. Why?
People think they have it bad, because they might not have something everyone else has. People say they’re poverty when they have food, shelter, clothes and shoes. See where I’m from I saw violence, I saw drug dealers that really didn’t want to deal drug but they needed money. People think they have it hard in Omahans. Kids dying mothers and sisters crying. My question is why these days people think they have It hard when they all these needs. In New York people crave these things that people have. New York, the state where people think you can make it big. The Truth and the matter is that kids are committing crimes to have food, shelter and so on. Just see in the eyes like this. 13 year boy on the corner selling crack rock to make a living for his family and himself. He carries a 9mm hand gun everyday. He watches for cops. He makes sure everything is always legit, because deep down he doesn’t want this in life. His mother and father are both on the crack pipe. He went from a kid with dreams to a kid to a man with nothing. He sits at home crying inside, and ask the lord why? Why? Me? What would you pick see a child with dreams or a, child with pain in his eyes.
