The Power of Love by Elizabeth Chandler
The Power of Love is part of a trilology. I have read the first book Kissed by an Angel and it was a very good book. A brief summary of the book is that Tristan was pursuing Ivy and they were finally dating, but after two weeks, there was tragic car accident and Tristan passed away. Now he has come back as an angel to complete his mission and finally rest in peace. In the book Power of Love, it is a continuation of Tristan's mission to finihs his mission. His mission is to convince Ivy that he reallys love her. She used to believe in Angels, she prayed to them every night and even collect statues, but now that Tristan died she absolutely doesn't believe in them because she thought that the angels would've saved him. That's reallly annoying because now it will take forever for Tristan to finish his mission. Tristan is an angel and needs for her to believe again. Ivy keeps getting these nightmares about the night of the car crash and the day where Gregory's mother, Caroline "killed herself". Gregory s her step brother, his father and Ivy's mother recently married. There is a killer on the loose becuase Tristan relized that he wasn't able to press on his brakes taht day and someone has set him up and broke the brakes. Tristan is the guardian angel who must protect her from Tristan's killer and possibly Caroline's too. [SPOILER] Ivy was woken up by yet another nightmare and Gregory decides to make tea for her. Tristan saw Gregory drugging the tea. Ivy was totally unaware and had drank the tea, and Gregory had brought her to train station. At the train station, Ivy sees Tristan, but it was merely someone who dressed and looked like him. She was trying to reach him, but he was across the train tracks and she tried walking across the tracks, but a train was coming right at her. Tristan the guardian angel was there to see it all, the durgging of the tea and the almost fatal accident, that he prevented.
Something I thought was the most memorable was the how Tristan had saved her. He's always been a bother to his other angel friend, Lucy because she's already been at her mission for 2 years and has acquired many skills. He learned to materialize himself with the help of Lucy and was therefore able to save her. Tristan had a hard time learning how to materialize himself and it shows how his hard work has finally paid off becuase he was able to save the love of his life. After, this really big incident and drugging Ivy, I really do think that Gregory may be Tristan's killer and is now out to get Ivy too. Gregory always seemed so nice to Ivy. He helped her recover from Tristan's accident and he was the only one who was able to console Ivy for the time being, not even her best friends were able to help her. His mother's death might've been his fault too, but maybe he framed Caroline and made people think that she shot herself instead of him shooting her. Stories like this always have the least expected ending, which is a little bit annoing, but exciting at the same time.
I definitely would recommend this book to everyone of any age. This book is about a tragic love story and a mystery at the same time. Some people prefer one genre over another ,but I think that this book is for anyone. I know there are thosd people (guys) out there who don't like to read these kind of romance books, but Tristan seems like a boyfriend any girl would want, maybe the guys who read this could pick up a few dating skills from this. This book is a the second book of a triology, but all three books are in the same book, so its thick and lengthy book, but I think its totally worth reading. The first book is just as good as the second and I'm hoping it will be the same for he third book.

Dear Katherine I liked your
Dear Katherine
I liked your post "The Power of Love," because I though the description you wrote of your book was very interesting. It seems like the book was a page turner and was very exciting. It was interesting to see the connection that Tristan and Ivy shared with one another and how in one way or another they always looked out for one another.
One sentence you wrote that stands out for me is: "His mission is to convince Ivy that he reallys love her." I think this is verystrong because it really shows the love that the two share. Even though Tristan is dead him and Ivy really share something strong with each other. This shows the main part of the story.
