Presentation of Progress: IB Art Online
I am scheduled to conduct a presentation on monday for my Internal assessment. My client is Roy, the IB Art teacher and he has proposed a online art gallery created by Adobe Dreamweaver. The advanced techniques that were used in the product are: image behaviors (onmouse rollover), linking images from thumbnails and dropdown menu is placed on website. The designs for my project are correctly labelled with sizes and tables that another designer can use and create on their own.
I think my designs for my project deserves a 4 thus far, because I have worked on my project and tested it several times to make sure that the images and layouts do not collide with each other and does not overlap when viewed on any browsers. In that case, I have inserted an invisible .gif spacer which will enable my content tables to be stand alone with their content and not overlap each other when viewed on a different screen. The images are all copyrighted by IB Art exhibition which took place in May 2011. The structure of my website is not simple and any novices without any past web designing experiences would have trouble in designing a website on Dreamweaver without the knowledge of reading HTML codes, drop-down menus and tables. In order to receive a 6 or 7, I would have to design more pages filled with artists and their pieces that is easy for anyone to view and learn from. My designs are not fully completed and there are still more techniques that I would want to add as the project progresses.
