Presidents Stance on abortion
i think one of the most important issues in the upcoming presidential race is abortion. Abortion is an issue that will make some people angry no matter how it is resolved . It is an issue that thereare many different stances on. it will take many many votes to change anything.
An abortion is the removal or expulsion of a mammalian embryo or fetus from the uterus, resulting in or caused by its death. An abortion can occur spontaneously due to complications during pregnancy or can be induced.
Obama's stance on abortion is as follows
the Democratic presidential candidate says he firmly supports a woman's right to choose but can accept some restrictions — including a requirement that medical care be provided for any fetus that survives an abortion. "For people to suggest that I and the Illinois Medical Society, so Illinois' doctors, were somehow in favor of withholding lifesaving support from an infant born alive is ridiculous," he recently told the Christian Broadcasting Network. "It defies commonsense and it defies imagination."
mcCains stance is the following
I believe that the pro-choice community feels that abortion is a procedure that we would like to eliminate,'' McCain said in an interview with The Chronicle last night. ``So yes, I want to repeal Roe vs. Wade, and yes, I am proud of my pro-life voting record.
another strong man in the world, the Pope expressed his views on abortion as follows.
the Pope told reporters, "The inalienable dignity of every human being and the rights which flow from that dignity -- including the right to life and the defense of life -- as well as the well-being and full human development of individuals and peoples, are at the heart of the church's message and action in the world.
in conclusion both candidates provide many good points and resolutions to the topic of abortion and i beleive that some resolution must come to this issue no matter what it might be.
