Puppy Love

I just read a Wikipedia article” Puppy love”, (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Puppy_love). I choose to read this article because I wanted to clarify what it really means when adults use the terms. It’s pretty much a straight forward article.

A sentence that stood out for me was: The lyrics relate the plight of a seventeen-year-old taunted by accusations that feelings for his/her beau are "puppy love", ending with the refrain "How can I ever tell them this is not a puppy love?" This quote really caught my attention because of how the generations have changed during the years.  The songs mentioned in this article were mostly songs at least 1 or 2 decades ago. Recently “cuffing” has become the trend in 2010. And to elaborate on what i mean by cuffing, it means dating, cuddling or being in a relationship which obviously leads to strong emotion. Some people take it serious where the longer you and your partner have been seeing each other the better it is.

Also this quote and the following details that support it just prove how the media affects who and why we choose to have intimate relationships with. What I don’t understand is how things change from one extreme thing to the next in this generation. Before casual dating was the thing now everyone wants to be in a relationship. As far as I’m concerned the numbers of teen relationship has sky rocketed this year. I might be a good thing or not, but I think its way more than puppy love.

Tthomas,

I really enjoyed reading this post. I liked it because this is a topic that comes up often today. I think that it is interesting how adults and teenagers view "love".  Generations have totally changed over the years in many aspects, not just relationships. I really liked how you defined the word "cuffing." Great work! I hope to read more of your post.

I think it is so inconsiderate when an adult says that when young people say that they love one another that is puppy love they too was young and loved someone I also think that it is a form of disrespect in a way because they are not respecting someone's feelings.

 Dear Tthomas, I love your

 Dear Tthomas,

I love your post i can relate to this post it is so true how the generation change.I was talking about that the other day looking at how the generation has change.

One sentence that stick out to me was "Recently “cuffing” has become the trend in 2010".I was starting to wonder were that word came from and how it started. When i think of cuff i think about handcuffs so to me when i hear somebody say i'm cuff there really into there relationship and no one can break it.

Another sentence that stick out to me "As far as I’m concerned the numbers of teen relationship has sky rocketed this year. I might be a good thing or not, but I think its way more than puppy love."Thats so true i feel like teen relationship has rocketed up but i feel like there will always be puppy love.

Thanks for your post looking forward to read more of your work
