Why is our economic situation so poor?
According to Ali Velshi and Erica Fink of CNN, the economy is stuck in a recession because of the way we feel as a nation. They argue that the way we feel affects the way we spend our money, and if we aren’t spending money our economic situation cannot shift. This feeling can then go on to affect our jobs, the way we save, and how we use our income as a whole. According to the Department of Labor 760,000 U.S. citizens lost their jobs during the recession. This changed how we, as a nation, spent our money which in turn, sent us spiraling into a greater recession. This feeling invoked was desperately avoided by the government, as seen in the political cartoon below, but was ultimately inevitable.

I really liked your post. The poor state of our economy is something that is affecting almost everyone in the United States and is causing  way too many people to lose their jobs. It's a great topic to research.

 Sanders.

Good topic. The recession has affected almost everyone in America at this time and is a problem especially for our generation when applying to colleges and ultimately trying to find work. My own family has had problems in the recession and this article elaborates on one of the causes of those issues. I like the cartoon as well. Good subject matter. Can't wait to read more.

 Sandman,

I really enjoyed your topic. To be honest, i didnt know the reason we were in a recession was because people werent spending money, i thought it was because buisnesses were doing worse. Thanks for making me smarter. I especially enjoyed the political cartoon. Hope to see future posts about this topic from you.
