Reduce
Most of our world is labeled as disposable. We throw out just about everything: water bottles, shoes, even refrigerators. But if we didn’t throw out so much it would be a lot better for the environment.
Everything we consume takes a toll on the environment. In its production and distribution there is a huge use of natural resources, but in the disposal of the items they have a great impact as well. Most of our trash is not recycled. Instead it sits in a landfill until it degrades, if it ever does. In the case of a plastic bottle saying it stays around forever is not too much of an exaggeration.
As a community we must reduce the amount of products we consume. If every one bought things that we thought would last, instead of buying cheap things that will break down, there would be less stuff thrown into landfills and less natural resources spent on production.
