Relating to Almost a woman

       Almost a woman is great story about spanish people or hispanic which i think they both stand for the same thing and i hope they do.This girl just moved to brooklyn and she dont kow what is going on between her life in the apartment to the place which is called outside .I really like this charcter because this person is really starigh forward tells what she wants and what she dislikes .Her mom been having problems in her life thats why she hasnt been settled but the thing that i feel bad for is her daughter and her  two brothers.they also live with this aunt but she isnt that big of a help so you dont need to know much about her but i hope that her life gets better there even though the way she describes it is really bad.

    I think Almost a woman by Esmarlda Santiago is  a really truth telling book  because i think that the person who wrote this book wrote with passion like if they actually been through this and the truth is the author did so the girl in this book is actually based on the author .I really like it beacuse they way they write it about hispanic people to other colors.

   A passage from pages 16-21 that seems important is "i woke in the middle of the night and i see something crawling in my ear" I tink this is important because this person is trying to tell the readers that how the place there is really cheap and full of roaches and at anytime anything could happen.

  Another part that i liked was " A roach almost crawled in my brain and i feel dirty" This is an example of something important in the book .It shows hot this person reacts to certain things and what they dont react to.This quote is a good theme to represent this book beacsue this whole book i think is basically about how where they live such a dirty place and so cheap that they can do nothing to fix it .

   This section of Almost a woman reminds me of something i saw in the news earlier this week .They were talking baout how there are such nice places but the walls are ripped there so many roaches and it is such a dangerous place and this reminds me of the book because this girl is liveing  in the same exact place that the news people were saying.

   Whats probaly going to happen next is that she wil probaly move or she will try to make things better for everyone by sorting out things with her mom and her sibling and her aunts or she will face more and more problems.

    i am looking forward to reading this book beacsue i really like and i could actually feel what the author feel to with passion and because it is really discriptive.
