Reseach Topic: ANIMAL EXPERIMENTATION.
Animal testing is wrong and it is cruelty to animals. Each year about five million dogs, cats, rabbits, rats, monkeys, and other animals die in lethal dose tests performed in many states around the United States and around the world. Animal testing is inhuman and should be illegal.
Animal experimentation treats animals awfully, besides them dying or being euthanized after the experiment they are not treated or kept well in the laboratories. Animals locked inside cold cages waiting r their turn to go through the horrible experiments then being killed just like the Jewish race in concentration camps during the holocaust. Millions of animals die each year in experiments and other awfully abused by handlers and experimenters.
Animals that are kept in cages in labs often develop neurotic behaviors from boredom and loneliness, some such like spinning in circles, rocking back and forth, and even pulling out their own hair and biting their skin.
Hundreds of thousands of animals are poisoned, blinded, and killed every year by cruel corporations. Mice or rats are forced to inhale toxic fumes, dogs are forced pesticides, and rabbit have corrosive chemicals rubbed into their skin and eyes. The idea of humanity isn’t there the awfully treated animals have the same value as we do but still we choose to treat them in a awfully different way. One of the biggest cooperation test their products on animals is Johnson and Johnsons and many companies that are ran under Johnson and Johnsons such as: Acuvue, Aveeno, Clean and clear, Listerine, Lubriderm, Neutrogena, Purell and many more. Another one of the biggest cosmetic cooperation in the world that tests its products on animals is L’Oreal. These companies are most commonly used and loved in our society.
Even if a product harms animals in experiment, is still marketed to us and we use them knowing that it killed an innocent animal for no reason. Most of the time we do not realize that we are supporting animal cruelty. In many ways we do support it, most people would ignore the fact that these product that we use on a daily basis are awful because they are tested on animals and many animals die every day using the same products. For example L’Oreal, a worldwide used and loved company, their make-up and products are used daily all around the world but we don’t realize what we are doing by using those products. We are supporting an awfully dangerous cause.
Another way we support animal cruelty is by using them for experiments in classrooms for science experiments and dissections. Every year, millions of animals like frogs, cats, mice, dogs, and others are killed and shipped off to schools, where young kids are given scalpels and told to slice up the animals bodies as part of biology and other courses. Modern alternatives have shown that to teach better, save teaches time and save school money the experiments and dissections are unnecessary. Now thousands of students stepped up against this cruel and disgusting cause.
The cruel and deadly toxicity test are part of massive regulatory testing programs that often are funded but the United States tax payers money. The federal government and may health charities waste precious money from tax payers and donors on cruel and misleading animal experiments in private laboratories. Most of the test that are done on animals are not even required by law. These animals that are experimented on are not covered by the Animal Welfare Act, Therefore these animals die UNCOUNTED.
The way we treat ourselves is not how we treat animals. Animals have the right to be treated as beings of value. Animal rights are not accepted as human rights. Animals should have equal rights as people. Animals should for example have the right to life, freedom and so on. Using them for medical research, experimentation, clothing, school experiments and other is completely unacceptable. Another argument used to argue that animals shouldn’t have rights is that animals “are naturally inferior” because they are not civilized.
To inject animals with horrible viruses like aids or expose them with toxic chemicals and radiations is simply not acceptable. For those animals pain only stops when they die, some are shortly euthanized after the experiment, others are researched further on. Not only mice but approximately 1.4 mammals other than mice are used in experiments every year.
Human products should not be tested on animals, especially when those animals would not have the same reaction as human. Each species are unique in their own way most experiments are done on animals which is not reliable on humans to use because we would have a different result. Mostly a chimpanzee or monkey is used for more important experiments because they are closer species to humans but they can also have a severe reaction to the experiment then be hurt and put to death, which is why animal should not be treated as worthless biological objects. Now a days, Generic technologies have made possible horrible acts of animal experimentation from cloning to creating mutant and hybrid creature, which is against the law of nature.
It is not acceptable to kill perfectly healthy animals, those innocent creature don’t even have a say on `if they want to be tested on or not, if a human was being tested there would be many procedures, contacts sign, and many things checked before testing on human then why not animals have a say.
As a conclusion and for all these reasons animals should have the same rights as human beings. A crime against an animal should bring the same punishment as the same crime against a person. Killing animals, using them in medical experiments is totally unacceptable, should be illegal and can actually be compared to concentration camps in Nazi Germany.

Very Interesting!
Dear Atia,
When I read the title of your research topic, I predicted what you were going to talk about. Whenever I get the chance to think about global issues, this comes to mind all the time and I feel guilty that these animals have to suffer because of me. Animal experimentation has been conduced since the beginning of civilizations. The further our brain developed throughout Eras, our understanding of animals have allowed us to be fascinated and curious. Being that we live in a country that emphasizes the use of free market economic ideas in a mixed economy, people have been hypnotized by the illusion of creating a revolutionary product that outstands from the rest of the competition. Furthermore, as laws have challenged humanity's creativity to create a product, they have made found alternatives that may affect consumers or animals. For example, the food industry tests its products on consumers to see what effects these products have on the people, who buy them. On the other hand, medicinal and cosmetics have alternated to test on animals. Hence, I agree with you that problems like animal experimentation is very inhuman. One question that came to my head was: do benefits of animal experimentation, outweigh inhumanity?
One quote that you wrote that I liked was: "The idea of humanity isn’t there the awfully treated animals have the same value as we do but still we choose to treat them in a awfully different way. One of the biggest cooperation test their products on animals is Johnson and Johnsons and many companies that are ran under Johnson and Johnsons such as: Acuvue, Aveeno, Clean and clear, Listerine, Lubriderm, Neutrogena, Purell and many more." Mistreating an animal is close to mistreating Mother Nature. As if we have not already damaged Mother Nature enough, humans take it upon themselves to destroy what they can to thrive in a world, where Darwinism exists. I was touched by emotion while reading the rest of this research post. I couldn't help, but to think of all the animals being killed and how it feels to be in their position.
Another quote that stood out for me was: "The cruel and deadly toxicity test are part of massive regulatory testing programs that often are funded but the United States tax payers money. The federal government and may health charities waste precious money from tax payers and donors on cruel and misleading animal experiments in private laboratories." This does not surprise me at all, many tax and other money schemes are always done behind our backs. I just felt that you made a strong point about supporting animal cruelty or abuse on these laboratoy experiments.
I am a person, who loves equality in all aspects of life on Earth, whether it be animals and humans. I understand your points clearly and you have my support on this issue. However, I would like to propose this question to you: Are the benefits worth the animal experimentation? When you answer my question, I will respond back to you. Thanks for writing, this is a "hot" topic and I enjoyed reading about it. The images made me feel sad to be in the "shoes" of animals that go through cruel procedures. Hopefully, I will get to see more of your posts in the future.
