The Right Song at the Right Time
At every moment of our lives we are experiencing and expressing some sort of emotion that was brought on by some event or interaction during the day. For every mood, every emotion, every trial, every triumph, there is a song that we can all relate to. It is very common to ignore the importance of pop music in our lives, but consider: how would things be without ipods to produce the right notes for the moment? So many of us use music to compliment the way that we feel. We feel stronger to know that someone has felt the way we are feeling and has put it into song. This is the true power of music; it is there for us just like a reliable friend. For those who use music as more than basic, absent-minded entertainment, it seems only right to discuss the vitality of pop music. For those who live their lives to no melody, it would be in your benefit to see what can be added to your life by the right song at the right time.;
"According to biomusicologists (Biomusicology is a new field of science, according to Pennsylvania State University "What's in the News" website), music entered the world from the time only animals roamed the earth. It is theorized that animals used a form of music to communicate. Certainly the song of birds is musical and is a form of communication among their species. Humpback whales are said to sing sonatas as a form of communication."-The Importance of Music
As emphasized by the article "The Importance of Music", music has been used even before humans existed as a way to convey emotions and feelings. It is the most emotional mode of communication. Musical notes simply do something to communicate that the spoken word can hardly accomplish. Think how we use our words to tell someone that we are sad. We use a lower tone of voice, speak slower, and hit notes that are suppressed by our emotions. We speak dully. This is an effective way to convey our feelings. However, what is more effective than the same words put to a resounding melody of chords and beats. Nothing can compare to a good song. I encourage those that don't consider the importance of music to reevaluate this choice. Ever since I became aware of the power of the right song at the right time, my life has been elevated, absolutely. When I am sad, I may listen to Coldplay or Slightly Stoopid. These bands play songs with style that make me feel like I am not the only one who has felt the way I feel. When I am happy or excited, I blast hip hop in my car or headphones. This adds to my excitement. There is no reason to go through something without the help of one of the most interesting and powerful modes of expression ever to exist. Music is there for us- all we have to do is use it.

I know what you mean
I know what you mean Michaelhanver music is like a medicine. It heals the wounded, and its like someone is listening to you speak your feelings. This is how i see music, not only as a way of entertanement but as a way to comunicate with the world.
Michael, I agree with your
Michael,
I agree with your post "The Right Song at the Right Time" because I feel the same way. I listen to various types of music but there are times where I listen to a specific type. Before lacrosse games, especially big ones, I will usually listen to hip-hop or rock. When I want to relax, I listen to more mellow music. Usually though, hip-hop and rock/alternative get the most play. Whenever I'm driving with my friends, we usually end up going through an Ipod and blasting hip-hop songs. I agree with you sentence "it is the most emotional mode of communication" because artists can communicate any emotions or ideas through their music.

Dear Michael, I enjoyed
Dear Michael,
I enjoyed reading your post “The Right Song at the Right Time,” because you make good points about life and the way music is helpful to people. I agree with you on how music is something that is very useful. Most people can relate to certain songs because of how they are feeling at the moment. We have similar opinions. One sentence that stands out for me is: “ For every mood, every emotion, every trial, every triumph, there is a song that we can all relate to.” I think this is an interesting statement you made because it is true, many of us compare our feelings to the lyrics of the song we listen to. For ever mood we feel we can relate to certain songs.
Another sentence that I found true was: “We feel stronger to know that someone has felt the way we are feeling and has put it into song. This is the true power of music; it is there for us just like a reliable friend.” This stood out for me because I do think hearing music helps people. I think that even when you’re alone hearing music is like a reliable friend that you could count on. In my opinion, hearing music is a great way to escape reality.
Your post reminds me of myself not only because we share similar thoughts but because it seems that we almost might like similar music as well. Coldplay is one of my favorite bands. I think their music is great and they way they express themselves into lyrics is amazing.
Thanks for your writing. I look forward to seeing what you write next because you make great points. I hope you write more about this topic and many other topics.
Dear Michael, I really
Dear Michael,
I really enjoyed your post, “The right song at the right time,” because it talked about a lot of the elements of what people use music for. You also mentioned how people connect to music because they feel the person behind the music connects to them. One sentence you wrote that stands out for me is: “We feel stronger to know that someone has felt the way we are feeling and has put it into song.” because I personally love music am listening to it every second I can. I don't know where I will be without music. I connect all my thoughts to the type of music I listen to.
Another sentence that I liked was: “There is no reason to go through something without the help of one of the most interesting and powerful modes of expression ever to exist.” This stood out for me because I personally believe if music didn’t exist there would be more depressions among people, and more sadness within people.
Thanks for writing. I look forward to seeing what you write next, because you have a lot of emotions to be expressed, and you have a lot of ways to get rid of peoples sadness or maybe even how to be even happier.
I read your article and enjoyed it
I am jovial with your post “The Right Song at the Right Time,” because it convey different perspectives about the concept of music. People always have a sense to relate their emotions to music, and believe that the “music is speaking to them.” One sentence you wrote that stands out for me is “As emphasized by the article "The Importance of Music", music has been used even before humans existed as a way to convey emotions and feelings.” I think this is exhilarating because it reveals that music is a way to express emotions , and goes into a deeper meaning about the true meaning of music is.
Another sentence that intrigued me was: "For every mood, every emotion, every trial, every triumph, there is a song that we can all relate to." This stood out for me because it specially show that for every mood or emotion someone is feeling and there is always someone out there who felt the same and later put it into lyrics. Your post reminds me of something that happened to me. One time my mother asked me why I am always listening to Rock music. I replied that I am not interested in today’s modern music and I like to be unique and different. The music I listen to always touch me and sometimes leave me in a sadden state (tears). Thanks for your writing. I look forward to seeing what you write next, because finding something on Youth Voices that expresses how I feel is extraordinary. I am pleased to read your work, and want more post to be written that I can relate to.
Dear Michael: I am intrigued
Dear Michael:
I am intrigued by your post, "The Right Song at the Right Time," because it is fascinatingly interesting. It is very informative and it also answers one of my thoughts. Your post was detailed and very convincing.
One sentence you wrote that stands out for me is: "For every mood, every emotion, every trial, every triumph, there is a song that we can all relate to." I think this is incredibly true because I can relate from experience. Also, I’ve had many friends or relatives that express certain feelings and compare it to songs they’ve heard, etc,.
Another sentence that I found appealing was: " It is the most emotional mode of communication." This stood out for me because music, in my opinion, is an emotional communicating technique. Music can make someone feel some type expression depending on the song or genre. The lyrics are especially the most common thing of music for communicating emotionally simply because one can understand or relate.
I do certainly agree with you that music is there for us- all we have to do is use it. One reason I say this is because listening to music can help but one cannot let himself/ herself go by the song/ lyrics. Another reason I agree with you is that music will always be provided or available but then again the lyrics or a song itself can adulterate one’s mind or thoughts.
Thanks for your writing. I look forward to seeing what you write next, because this post was really interesting and I agreed with majority of your points. Considering that your post relates to music it will bring me back to see more about your thoughts or other future posts.
True
Hello,michaelhanover.
I enjoyed your post. When you said,"Musical notes simply do something to communicate that the spoken word can hardly accomplish." I find that true because music brings out so many emotions you wouldn't even know just by talking to a person.
