I was reading a Manga called Rosario Vampire Capu2. As I was reading the most recent chapter, I was amazed at how strong the main male character Tsukune is. Ever since the beginning, and up until these last 20 or so chapters, Tsukune was really soft and he always relied on the main character Moka and everyone else to protect him. Don’t get me wrong. Tsukune did have a lot of random moments of showing his unbelievable vampiric power. Somewhere along the line, Moka gets kidnapped by her overly powerful step sister who is basically in love with her or whatever.

Also there is this really powerful vampire named Alucard which is supposed to be Dracula’s name backwards. Alucard is sucking Moka’s life out of her. Eventually outer Moka is almost gone and Alucard is awakening. While that is happening Tsukune is getting beat up by a guy who was once defeated by Moka in season one, "A Demon Fox Kuyou." Kuyou had complete control over the fight and had Tsukune afraid to do anything but makes an unfortunate mistake by saying that Moka will soon die. Tsukune shows Kuyou just how strong he really is, and he kills him with just one or two hits. After that he makes it to the place where Moka and two of the other friends are. Outer Moka is completely gone and inner Moka is fighting her sister, but her sister is clearly stronger.

As they were fighting, Moka’s sister was bring up some really good points about Tsukune and all of their other friends. Those statements started to make Moka lose faith in the fight until Tsukune came and saved her and told her to leave this to him and that he wants her to depend on him this time, and that is about everything that has happened so far.

I am super excited about what has happened to Tsukune in Rosario Vampire by Akihisa Ikeda. Honestly from what I can still remember, I believe that he was the first main male character that I actually liked because all the other ones just suck. What I mean about that last sentence is that most anime characters that are weak and soft never do anything that would be cool. I mean lets face it, when that does happen, it’s always because they do something cool, but it’s not as cool as everything that everyone else does, you know?. Stuff like that gets on my nerves, but Akihisa Ikeda flipped the script on his main characters personality and strength, which I absolutely love.

What I learned about the main character Tsukune is that he is definitely not useless anymore, even though he was kind of useful throughout this manga. One thing that he was good at was accidentally making trouble for the other characters but all the people that he has gotten into trouble with were people who were abusing their power. So in a way, they ended up doing more good than bad. So far he has been saving lives, one after another with the help of his friends, and he will soon end this battle they are having with Fairy Tale which is an evil organization that wants to have the demons and monsters enter the human world.

(Quick note: Tsukune was originally a human, then he was turned into a vampire by Moka when Kiruto killed him.)

I am really looking forward to the next chapter of Rosario Vampire because Alucard is awake, Moka’s sister is about to fight Tsukune and Tsukune and Moka may go beast on Alucard. Although all that may happen I’m still unsure about what happened to their other two friends who may have been crushed to their death just before those to characters realized their feelings for one another. But when I think about this kind of Manga, my mind is quickly relaxed because the main character will never die, which is funny in my book. Well that is all I know about this right now, but a new chapter will be coming out in a month and I’m pretty sure it will be awesome.
