Rosas Visit

     I dont remeber when this happened but it was in "East-West School of International Studies" in the art room. In the audience there was basically students just waiting for the arrival of a author. Since the 12th graders were reading a book called "Rosa" the author of the book was coming in person to the school to do a basic interview with the students of the school. The authors name was Rosa Strygler and her book was based on her life story and she was willing to get interviewed because she already published a book so it wasn;t a big deal for an interview. When the interview started one thing that Rosa said was " I do regert somethings becuase they turned out to be mistakes but in the end things happen for a reason".

     " I do regert that Knowing that my son was doing drugs i kept trusting him but i just gave him money, Even though i had a feeling he was acting strange and unusual."

       Hearing this quote just made me realize that Rosa did trust her son and couldn't think anything bad of him or anything bad happening to him. Since im not a mother I really can't say how it feels to be in rosas postion. Yet it just seems she really loved her son even though he was adopted she treated him like any other mother would treat their son. Rosa was just blinded and just didnt know how to handle the fact or reliaze her son would be doing drugs becuase she was his mother and as a mother you really dont want to come to fact that your child is doing something like that.

     Another quote that stuck out to me from the interview with Rosa was when the students asked her why she removed her tattoo which she got during the holocuast. An Rosas said " it was just something that had to be done i dont want to know that bad memory is printed on my skin. I lived it in life i dont need any more prove then my own memory." 

     I dont remebr much of the interview but all i know is that Rosa sounded in a way still hurt and has forever a perminet reminder of what she went threw.  To me this just shows life gives you obstacles and you try to face it but its to hard to do it. Though life does go on your memeory will forever be marked and life cant earse something like that. Rosa was just a strong women who went threw alot but was able to keep strong and reliaze she needs to live and tell her story so people could know life is jus what you make of it.
